Reader!

It's back to school today for my 8th grader and I am so incredibly proud of my girl.

Remember 8th grade?! How cool/awful/exciting/terrifying/upleveling/intimidating/super-fun/not-fun it was?

To me, it's a victory every time we embark on a new adventure toward a new goal. Those first few steps are mired in our imagination and expectations of what might go right... or terribly wrong.

The fact that we put one foot in front of the other and start on any new path is a big, gigantic WIN.

On this week's Open That Door podcast, I keep it short and sweet and invite you to count your daily victories.

My guess is when you place your focus on the things that are going well in your life, there is a lot to celebrate.

Our habits and tendencies to keep gravitating toward what isn't going the way we want it to or think it should, or all the ways we believe we're falling short, keep us in a loop of looking for what's "wrong" and we often overlook the myriad ways our life is actually going pretty darn smoothly.

What if for the next 7 days you put a microscope up to your everyday victories?

Everything that meets or exceeds your expectations counts.

Keep a list and see how many daily victories you can add to the page each day. Make sure to express gratitude for all your wins.

It is true that what we focus on grows.

The more we focus on what works in our lives, the more that works in our lives. It's as simple as that.

So, Reader, make sure you water your daily wins this week and see what that garden looks like seven days from now, a month from now, this time next year... 💐
